"The Help," based on a best-selling novel by Kathryn Stockett, is a movie ofabout three women who take extraordinary risk in writingrisks to write a novel based on the stories from the viewperspective of black maids and nannies. The story take place in Jackson, Mississippi in the early 1960s, aas a young girl sets out to change the town. Skeeter is 21, a blonde, trained at Ole Miss, and dreams of becoming a journalist. She comes home to find constantineConstantine, the family maid, who'sis gone, and no one will explain what happened to her. The maids and nannies were forced to work for the white women. Minny Jackson helped Celia Foote out. In the movie all of the black women helped with the book.
In the movie, Ms. Hilly was a very mean woman. Jolene got Yule Mae Davis arrested for stealing a ring. Minny made Hilly eat a nasty pie. She didn't want Ms. Hilly's mom to eat the pie. Minny told Skeeter about it and she wrote itput the story in the book. Mrs. Hilly fired Aibileen after accusing her forof stealing a spoon. Hilly had toilets in her yard.
In the movie, people seensaw Hilly's yard and started taking pictures. The woman that Minny was working for lost her baby. Minny was secretly working for Celia. Johnny Foote found out about Minny. Skeeter helped out one of the maids and nannies. Skeeter wrote a book about the maids and nannies called "The Help"." Skeeter went on a date with Stuart Whitworth.
